    General enquiries: admin@bastionps.co.za or 021 981 1882 Items forgotten at home: We remind parents about the rule that has been in effect since 2017. NO forgotten items such as books, assignments, homework, sport clothes, etc. will be accepted at the office. We would like to encourage our learners to be responsible. ONLY FOOD PARCELS will be accepted. We thank you for your co-operation.

  • School Fees, Exemptions & Karri App
    School fees include: Scholastic education, normal extra-curricular activities offered by the school and didactical classes. School fees do NOT include: School uniform and other school items of clothing, tours and excursions, robotics, equipment needed e.g. hockey sticks, tennis racquets etc. or tutoring after school hours. Exemptions: Enquiries may be sent to adeleb@bastionps.co.za Bastion Primary School is a CASH FREE ZONE. Payment options: Karri App or EFT. ALWAYS include a reference and your child's admission number when making an EFT payment. Karri App can be downloaded to your phone from Google Play Store for Android or the APP Store for Apple users.     Grade R: Monday - Friday: 07:30 - 12:15 Grades 1 & 2: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 07:30-13:00 Tuesdays: 07:30 - 12:15 Grade 3: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 07:30-13:30 Tuesdays: 07:30 - 12:15 Grades 4 - 7: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 07:30-14:00 Tuesdays: 07:30 - 13:00
  • Absenteeism & leaving during school hours
    My child is absent: Send an email to admin@bastionps.co.za before 10:00 in the morning. Please take note that the school has to submit online attendance registers on a daily basis to the WCED. Your child must have a valid reason for being absent. Refer to point 5 in our LEARNER ATTENDANCE POLICY for valid reasons. My child has to leave during school hours: Send an email to admin@bastionps.co.za No child may leave school early without being fetched from reception by a parent or another adult authorised by the parent. No child may be fetched without a written request and an acceptable reason. NO CHILD WILL EVER BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE GROUNDS WITHOUT BEING ACOOMPANIED BY AN AUTHORISED ADULT.
